Community Based Care, LLC (“CBC”) acquired HomeCare Management Corporation (HomeCare) on August 13th, 2015. HomeCare will operate independently with its current management team as a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Based Care, LLC. Rankin Whittington, the founder and former President of HomeCare, has retired from the Company and will continue to operate his personal LLC, leasing commercial office space in North Carolina.
Community Based Care, LLC is a holding company whose aim is to expand its footprint across the Intellectual and Development Disabilities (“I/DD”) market in North Carolina and surrounding states. The Company will be based in North Carolina and will be looking to aggressively grow across the state both oranically and acquisitively. Gene Rodgers, an industry veteran of over 20 years, will be augmenting the current management team and leading the strategy and business development efforts for the company.
Whittington said, ” I am proud ot the company I started in 1993 and of the valued staff, many of whom began with us in the eary days and are still with the company.” He said, “I am particularly pleased that the new owners trust existing management to grow the company’s high quality services.”

CBC will look to capitalize on the favorable industry tailwinds behind this industry by allowing smaller providers in the space the opportunity to continue performing excellent clinical work while providing them with an opportunity to join a large organization with a scaled infrastructure to handle administrative issues.

CBC currently has one holding and will announce another very shortly. CBC is interested in exploring additional opportunities throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.
